National KOA Pet Policy.
National KOA Pet Policy and Oregon Dunes KOA Pet Policy follows.
Be sure everyone in your party understands our pet policy - especially our kabin policy. Guests that do not honor our pet policy will be asked to leave. Constantly barking dogs and dogs left unattended disrupt our other guests' vacations. Please be thoughtful of other campers. Campers with pets will not be able to register in our kabins. Please be sure all your guests understand our pet policy. Thank you.

1. Aggressive dogs of any breed are not welcome at any KOA. If your dog shows behavior that is protective and unfriendly to strangers, please leave it home. If you decide to bring your dog and it exhibits this type of behavior we will ask you to please find other camping accommodations with no refunds of unused camping fees.

2. As stated above, Oregon Dunes KOA does not allow pets in our Kamping Kabins or at our kabin sites. They are welcome in RV and tent sites.

3. All dogs are required to be under the control and visual observation of their owner at all times. A 6’ (six foot) leash rule is in effect whenever the animal is outside the owner’s camping trailer, vehicle, or motorhome. No dog should be left tied up and unattended outside the owner’s camping equipment during the day or night. This is a strictly enforced rule at Oregon Dunes KOA. Please be sure you understand this rule. Your guideline should be if a child could touch the pet before you can stop them, this is not acceptable control. Remember if the weather is warm, leaving an animal confined inside an enclosed cargo trailer or closed vehicle can be very dangerous to your pet.

4. Allowing your pet to bark uncontrollably day or night will not be permitted and you may be asked to leave if you are not able to control your pet’s barking.

5. Service dogs of any breed are welcome at all KOA Kampgrounds. However, these animals must follow leash restraint policies and may not exhibit aggressive behavior.

We are very sorry to restrict your pet's camping experience. However, we must follow the guidelines given to us by our insurance carrier. We want every camper to have a GREAT kamping experience. Thank you for your understanding.

Holiday Requirements & Cancellation Policy:

• Holiday rules apply President's Day, Spring Break, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year's.

• All sites require a 3 day minimum stay Spring Break, Easter Week, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.

• Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving require 30 days notice prior to your arrival of cancellation or any date changes. Sites cancelled more than 30 days before your arrival date are subject to the normal $10 cancellation fee. All sites cancelled less than 30 days of your arrival date will forfeit the total deposit.

• Thanksgiving Reservations are special because of the menu planning required. 1/2 the deposit is required when the reservation is made and the other half must be paid 30 days prior to arrival. No refund will be given for Thanksgiving reservations cancelled less than 30 days of your arrival.

• President's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Columbus Day, and New Year's weekends require a 2 day minimum stay and one weeks notice of cancellation. Reservations cancelled within one week of your arrival date forfeit the total deposit. Lodge reservations have a two week cancellation requirement for these holidays.

• No refunds or credit for early departure or late arrival on 2 & 3 day minimum stay holidays.

• Other special minimum stay requirements may affect other dates not listed above. Our lodges have a minimum stay throughout the summer. Check at time of reservations for any special exceptions.

Non-holiday National Cancellation Policy:

• $10.00 cancellation fee charged for all cancellations. Deposit is charged at the time of your reservation. Entire deposit forfeited if we do not receive notice of cancellation as follows: This is the Oregon Coast, weather is not a reason for late cancellation.

• Kabins and Lodges: Cancellations must be made PRIOR TO 1:00 P.M. 7 days before your arrival date in order to receive the allowable refund. Once you are registered for multiple day stays, we ask that you try to give us at least 72 hours notice if you require an early departure.

• RV Sites & Tent Sites: Cancellations must be made PRIOR TO 1:00 P.M. 48 hours before your arrival date in order to receive the allowable refund. Once you are registered for multiple day stays, we ask that you try to give us at least 24 hours notice if you require an early departure.
